How does The Wand work?

Most patients that have had a painful experience with injections and suffer from needle phobia think that it is the needle going into the gum which causes the pain.

Actually, he most common cause of pain during injection of local anesthetic is in fact due to the dentist injecting the anesthetic into the gums too quickly. Obviously, it is possible for the dentist to control the speed with a standard syringe, but the idea of the Wand is to take out the human error.
